Swimmer Vo Thanh Tung performed well in the qualifying round of the S5 men’s 50m backstroke event to earn a ticket to the final round of the London Paralympic Games on September 6.
Clocked in 42s26, he was placed 5th among 18 swimmers competing in the event.
He was scheduled to meet 7 rivals in the final round on September 7.
This is the second time Thanh Tung has participated in the games though it is not his strong suit.
