Students hold sports festival in Moscow
(VOV) - A Vietnamese student sports festival opened in Moscow on April 28, with various activities taking place.
The event marks major events in their homeland including Southern Liberation and National Unification Day (April 30), May Day (May 1), the 59th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7) and the 123rd anniversary of the birth of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).
The festival involves more than 30 Youth Union organizations and the participation of 530 athletes, including university students and postgraduates studying at 43 universities in Moscow and neighboring areas.
This is a record number of athletes attending the festival to compete in football, track and field and tug of war.
This event offers a good playing field for the students to improve their health and strengthen solidarity among young Vietnamese people in Moscow and across Russia.
