The Hue Festival 2008, entitled “Cultural heritage with integration and development”, has so far attracted twenty-two delegations from sixteen countries such as France, Britain, the US, Russia, China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, India and Canada.
Participants are expected to introduce their traditional songs, music, dances and contemporary circus performances.
According to the organizers, the festival will take place in Ho Quyen-Voi Re to bring back memories of the glamorous enthronement of emperor Quang Trung, martial arts contests and traditional cultural activities.
The opening ceremony will be held in Ngo Mon Square on June 3 2008.
