Seven artists received the Folklore Artists titles, namely Nguyen Phu Dem, Truong Quang Hien and Nguyen Thi Cung from northern Hai Duong province, Nguyen Thi Hai and Nguyen Thi Lich from northern Phu Tho province, and Nguyen Thi Truc and Nguyen Ba Kien from Ha Tay province near Hanoi.

In 2005, the association received submissions from 75 research projects on folklore culture, many of which focused on festivals and customs.

In general, most research projects were not really outstanding as they focused on familiar or large ethnic groups. Some projects had incorrect research methods such as using collector’s quotes instead of vernacular quotes.
