A major project to build the second Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum is being set up, with assistance from experts of the Moscow Commission for Architecture and Construction, Russian Federation.
The museum is expected to cover an area of 6.5 ha with a 250-seat screening room, a display room, and a section for audio and visual facilities featuring the Dien Bien Phu campaign. In addition, war vehicles such as warplanes and tanks will be displayed in the museum’s ground.
The city of Dien Bien already has a downtown museum facing the Dien Bien War Martyrs’ Cemetery on Hill A1 to honour the Dien Bien Phu victory. The museum, which consists of five display sections with nearly 300 objects and hundreds of artistic works, was constructed in 1984 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
