Vietnam failed to secure a bronze medal after being defeated 4-1 by Myanmar in Indonesia on November 21.

In the 10th minute, Vietnamese captain Thanh Luong fired a long shot but it was brilliantly saved by the Myanmar’s goalkeeper.

In the middle of the first half, forward Van Quyet ran to tap the ball into the posts in a counterstrike but it was the Myanmar goalie again who produced an excellent save.

Midfielder Kyaw Zeyar Win opened the score for Myanmar with a free kick in the 35th minute as Vietnamese goal keeper Tuan Manh made a serious mistake and failed to catch the ball.

In the 55th minute, Mynamar striker Ko Ko dribbled the ball quickly along the wing and passed it to Zeyar Win to double the score.

Several minutes later Vietnamese winger Hoang Thinh conceded an own goal when he tried to block the ball coming from a free kick in the left wing.

In the 85th minute Ko Ko again beat the Vietnamese goalkeeper with a skillful pass over his legs, extending Myanmar’s lead.

Vietnam’s efforts were eventually rewarded with a single goal by substitute Anh Quang two minutes later, but the match ended in favor of Myanmar 4-1.
