The Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) held a press briefing in Hanoi on February 26 to announce the fifth Sao Khue Award, aiming to honour individuals and organisations who have made contributions to the development of the Vietnam Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

The award ceremony will be held late April.

VINASA said that the award aims to promote domestic outstanding software products and solutions. During the past five years, many individuals and organisations have been presented awards such as professor Dang Huu, professor Nguyen Thien Nhan, professor Nguyen Dinh Ngoc, Doctor Mai Liem Truc, General Statistics Office, the Ministry of Finance, and other leading software companies, FPT, CMC, FCG as well as companies which applied ICT like Vietcombank, Unilever, Vietnam Airlines and Vietso Petro.

To mark its fifth anniversary, VINASA will organise an exhibition on five years of business operation and awarded software products. The exhibition will be held along with the Vietnam-Japan ICT co-operation exhibition in Hanoi in September.
