The event is part of activities to mark the 90th anniversary of the Russian October Revolution (November 7).
Nearly 500 students and teachers are expected to take part in the event, which is held annually by the university’s Russian faculty. They will join art performances, modern dancing, fashion shows and drama.
The participation of the Russian Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnam-Russia Cultural Centre and the Pushkin Institute of Russian Language in Hanoi will help Vietnamese students understand more about the language, land and people of Russia.
During the week, the University of Hanoi will also launch a project display writing contest under the theme “Russia in my mind” and organize a cooking competition using Russian dishes and an exhibition of famous paintings by Russian artists.
Participants also get a chance to watch Russian films and collect discs on Russian music and films and souvenirs illustrating Russian culture.
