The Russian Federation has decided to grant 285 scholarships for Vietnamese students in the 2008-2009 academic year.
These include 75 scholarships under the annual cooperation agreement between the two states, according to Russia’s recent diplomatic note to the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MoET).
The MoET announced that it will select 150 undergraduates and 30 graduates in the Russian language, 90 post graduates and 15 Russian-language teachers for the scholarship programme.
In addition, the Vietnamese government will give subsidy to subsistence expenses, air tickets and medical insurance fees.
