This is a charitable activity of Hanoi citizens, businesses, and international friends, including many Canadians working or studying in the country.

All money raised from the run will be donated to poor children who are suffering from fatal diseases and being treated at Hanoi Heart Hospital, the National Hospital of Pediatrics and Heart Beat Vietnam Fund.

From 2000 to 2010, as many as 50,000 people took part in the similar runs and donated more than VND4 billion to cancer research and treatment of poor children.
