Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) signed a co-operation deal on cultural heritage preservation.

Under the deal, signed in the RoK capital of Seoul between the two countries' departments of cultural heritage, Vietnamese experts will be sent to the Republic of Korea in 2006 for training in the management and protection of intangible heritage.

At the signing ceremony, the two sides exchanged experiences and information on management and legal systems governing cultural heritage conservation and sketched out a joint research programme on the former imperial cities of each country.
