The Nha Trang Culture, Art and Tourism College in south central Khanh Hoa province on June 8 set a record for making the biggest pot of noodle soup (Phở) in Vietnam to serve 14,000-15,000 tourists at the Nha Trang Sea Festival.

The pot contained 7,000 litres of water, 450 kg of beef bones, 100 kg of noodle soup and 160 kg of vegetables.

Another record to be set by the Nha Trang Culture, Art and Tourism College is the largest traditional orchestra in Vietnam to hold a performance at the Nha Trang Sea Festival on June 10.

The orchestra will consist of 189 instrumentalists, who are teachers and students in the College, performing on 30 kinds of traditional musical instruments representing the Northern, Central and Southern parts of Vietnam.

The performance will only last 15 minutes but all the artists aged between 11 and 58 have been training hard for over 3 months.

The performance is one of the College’s efforts to honour and advertise the quintessence of Vietnamese culture to the international community.
