Vietnamese Ambassador to Norway, Ta Van Thong, has presented 54 Vietnamese books and many CDs with music and films provided by Vietnam Television to Deichmanske Library in Oslo City, Norway.

The books vary from literature to comic books for children and cover such topics as Vietnam’s traditional culture, food and festivals.

This will help Vietnamese community in Norway to access various kinds of books and cultural publications to learn more about the changes in present life as well as to see the images of Vietnam.

Also, Ambassador Ta Van Thong expressed his thanks to Deichmanske Library, which works closely with Vietnamese embassy in Norway to bring Vietnamese books to its readers.

He also expressed his hope that the event was the first step to promote the cooperation between Deichmanske Library, which was established in 1785 and is the biggest public library in Norway with 16 branches in Oslo, and Vietnam’s publishing houses.
