The contest was launched in December 2007 to create a playground especially for young people to develop a positive blogger community. Over the past 4 months, the organizing board has received more than 3,100 blogs, mainly from students over the past 4 months.

The Blog Community prize went to author Nguyen Van Tuan with Blog Countryside at http://360.yahoo.com/quehuongss, while the Blog Bright Star prize to writer Nguyen Thuy Duong at http://360.yahoo.com/cafesangtao. The Blog Hi-Tech prize was given to Hoang Thien An at http://myworldvn.com/blog/ and the Blog Colour prize Le Minh Man at http://yobanbe.zing.vn/highlandmanle.

The two consolation prizes, valued at VND2 million each, were delivered to the oldest blogger at http://360.yahoo.com/Ongba_cathien and another blogger who overcame the greatest difficulties in the blogger community, at http://360.yahoo.com/xuongthuytinh.

No Special Blog Vietnam prize was announced at this ceremony.
