A series of colourful lead up events will take place across all parts of host Vietnam, announced the organising board on April 3.

Organisers told reporters that beauty queens from different countries will take part in cultural, social and charitable activities including parades, sight-seeing, fashion shows and gift auctions in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and the central city of Nha Trang.

The contest is expected to draw over 80 contestants, who will boast of their intelligence, beauty and elegance through involvement in charitable activities and contests such as a swimming costumes parade.
