Miss Phuong Thuy wore an evening dress named “The legend of life” with the black colour symbolizing earth, red symbolizing youth and victory and white symbolizing light.

Thuy said her evening dress is a combination between East and West, between Vietnamese traditional styles and European style. It conveys a message that Vietnam wants to make friends with every country in the world and that Vietnamese people perverse their traditional culture while opening their arms to all friends in the world.

Designer Viet Hung who designed Thuy’s evening dress said he used 18 metres of cloth to make the dress. All details of the dress were done by hand.

During the final round on September 14, Croatia won the Miss World Dress Designer Award, followed by the Netherlands, India, Kenya and Ireland.
