It takes only six hours for tourists to travel by coach from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat resort city in the Central Highlands – known with other romantic names as Land of Flowers, City of Love, and Paradise of Tourism.

Located in Lam Vien highland at an altitude of 1,500m above sea level, Da Lat is one of the most well-known tourism cities in Vietnam. Its year-round cool climate and picturesque scenery has made the city a magnet for tourists.

Truc Lam Thien Vien is a Buddhist architectural work, which was recently built on a high hill next to Tuyen Lam Lake and is surrounded by a forest of green pine-trees.

Its beauty lies in its special religious atmosphere and its harmony with nature.

Da Lat Flower Park is located on the north bank of Xuan Huong Lake in the Valley of Doi Cu. The 7,000m2 park is arranged in an open and impressive fashion. Visitors to the park can view a wide range of well-known flowers and bonsai that have been planted and pruned carefully.

Lam Dong Tourism Company has developed a system of bobsled tracks with 48 bobsleds in Datanla Waterfall Resort. The 1000m system, where the bobsleds have both automatic and hand brakes, can cater for 700 visitors an hour.

A new tourism site called Golden Valley, about 15km to the northwest of Da Lat city, has been put into use.

The 170-ha valley is very ideal for ecological tourism development. Here visitors can enjoy fresh air and the beauty of various flowers, artificial waterfalls, and the art of arranging stones, grass and flowers in a harmonious oriental way.

Da Lat Citizens enthusiastically tell love legends related to the beautiful sites in the locality.

On fine days, tourists can clearly view the twin mountains, Langbiang, described as a chest full of energy.

From the peaks of the 2163m-high mountains, which are 12km from the centre of Da Lat, visitors can cast their eyes over the city from afar.
