A photography exhibition entitled ‘The Immortal Spirit of National Resistance War Day’ opened at three venues in Ho Chi Minh City on December 19 to mark the event’s 65th anniversary and the 67th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army.

The exhibition, which introduces 220 file photos, also celebrates the 51st anniversary of the National Front for the Liberation of South Vietnam.

In Lam Son Park, the exhibition features the solidarity and determination of the Vietnamese people and army in the first days of the anti-French resistance war, which broke out in the winter of 1946 and culminated in the victory at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954.

There are also new photographs of the prominent achievements of the local Party committee and the Municipal People’s Committee as well as local people during the renovation process.

These photographs are also on display at Chi Lang Park and along Dong Khoi street.

The exhibition will last until January 10, 2012.
