Photo exhibition features Australian volunteers in Vietnam

(VOV) - The Australian Embassy will host a photographic exhibition in Hanoi from December 5-12 to highlight Australian volunteers’ contributions to Vietnam’s development.

The event, part of activities to mark the United Nation’s International Volunteer Day (December 5), will showcase more than 80 photos provided by Australian volunteers and their host organisations, all working Vietnam.

The images of some unique moments provide a better insight into the life of volunteers and the people they work with and support.

Vietnam currently receives the third largest contingent of volunteers from the Australian Government funded Australian Volunteers for International Development (AVID) investment.

Over 80 AVID volunteers are working in placements strongly aligned with the Australian Government’s priorities in Vietnam including human resource development, economic integration and environment sustainability, as well as disability, gender and HIV/AIDS.
