Phillip Noyce, director of The Quiet American and Salt films, will be in HCM City and Hanoi from May 27-31 to have exchanges with Vietnam’s art lovers on the presentation of “Backroads to Hollywood”.
He will meet with the cinematographic circle, businesses and journalists on May 27, and have exchanges with students and young filmmakers at Hoa Sen University in HCM City the next day.
The Quiet American film will be screened at MegaStar Hung Vuong cinema hall during his visit.
The director will fly to Hanoi on May 31.
Born in New South Wales, Australia in 1950, Phillip Noyce began to make short films when he was 18 years old. He is famous for such films as Dead Calm, Patriot Games, The Bone Collector, The Quiet American and Salt.
