A painting exhibition opened at the Hoa Sen Trang (White lotus) art gallery in Hanoi on February 22, featuring daily life in rural areas, nice images of mothers, the beauty of flowers and Vietnamese architectural structures in the past and at present.

Sixty oil, lacquer and silk paintings by female overseas Vietnamese artist Van Duong Thanh were displayed at the event. In particular, visitors have a chance to see six art works by Vietnamese famous painters namely Bui Xuan Phai, Van Cao and Nguyen Tu Nghiem.

Van Duong Thanh is considered one of Vietnam’s cultural ambassadors abroad.

The opening ceremony was attended by
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Dinh Bin and many foreign ambassadors to Vietnam.
