Opera singers from Europe and Asia will jointly perform in Hanoi on November 25 to mark the 30th anniversary of EU-ASEAN relations.

The free performance will deliver a harmonious sensory experience featuring a selection of arias from around the world. Those chosen to perform cater to the tastes of a wide range of music lovers, from those who appreciate Italian composer Puccini’s passionate masterpieces to those who prefer Verdi’s dramatic intensity.

Noted opera singers from the EU and ASEAN will belt out tunes, accompanied by the Chorus of the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet (VNOB), the Hanoi International Choir and the VNOB Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Graham Sutcliffe.

Headlining the gala will be the talents of British soprano Nancy Yuen, Dutch tenor Jan-Ate Stobbe, Thai baritone Saran Suebsantiwongse, and two Vietnamese singers Thang Long and Manh Dung.

The gala is symbolic of the multifaceted relationship between the EU and ASEAN.
Free tickets can be picked up at the Goethe Institute, 56-58 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street and the British Council, 40 Cat Linh Street.
