Forty three art works, including 36 paintings depicting 36 old Hanoi streets by painter Nguyen Bao Toan will be displayed at an exhibition in Hanoi from October 10-25 to mark the 54th anniversary of the capital city’s liberation.
The exhibition called “The October Emotion” will be held at the Republic of Korea (RoK) Culture Centre, 49 Nguyen Du Street
Apart from the paintings, another 7 works have been created to render vivid manifestations of bridges such as The Huc and Long Bien tightly binding Hanoi’s cultural life. All of Mr Toan’s works are made of cloth and paper materials in combination with photographs.
Director of the RoK Culture Center, Kim Sang Ug, said a host of fine arts exhibitions has been held regularly in recent times in order to spotlight Vietnamese and RoK painters inspired by Vietnam’s cultural beauty.
The centre will continue to launch such exhibitions in the near future to promote cultural exchange as well as mutual understanding between the two countries, said Mr Kim.
