A 36-tonne bronze bell, the biggest of its kind in Southeast Asia, was transported safely to Bai Dinh pagoda in the northern province of Ninh Binh on August 11.

The bell was cast by artisan Nguyen Van Sinh in the former imperial city of Hue with his beautiful carving of Buddhist poem Dai Bi Bat Nha in Chinese characters and different Zen and Buddhism patterns.

Earlier, artisan Nguyen Van Sinh had cast and handed over a 27-tonne bronze bell to Bai Dinh pagoda.
