Nine international art troupes will take part in art performances at Hue Festival 2006 scheduled to be held from June 3-11.

The Matilda Leyser Troupe from the British Council will perform a play named "Lifeline", which will combine dancing with circus acrobatics. The French Art Troupe will contribute two plays "Drought and Rain 2" and "Enthronement" while the Divestiment Classical Dancing Troupe from Russia will present a mixed dancing programme.

There will be many other special exhibitions such as Korean royal music, Argentinean tangos, and Australian Wellspring Environmental Art and Design's three-dimensional artwork.

The festival, entitled "Cultural Heritages with Integration and Development", will open in the southern gate square in Hue on June 3 with many professional art performances, folk games, Hue royal dances and music and fireworks performance by a French artist Pierre Alain Hubert.
