This is the first time Vietnam has taken part in Miss Young International.
Nguyen Ai Chau, 20, is a third-year student from the Foreign Language Faculty of the Van Lang University in HCM City. She can speak both English and Chinese very well.

Ai Chau will compete in Ao Dai ( traditional long dress) designed by Thuan Viet and a night gown designed by Van Thanh Cong.
She will bring paper fans printed with Vietnamese landscapes as gifts for friends and an Ao Dai as a souvenir for a charity auction at the contest.
