The 2008 Miss Vietnam Tourism, Phan Thi Ngoc Diem, represents the country in the Miss Tourism Queen International contest in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 12, 2008 to January 2, 2009.
She was chosen by EVE Group and received approval from the Vietnamese Department of Performing Arts. The final round of the contest will take place on January 1, 2009.
22 year old Ngoc Diem is currently studying at the Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City. She is an emcee for HCM City Television (HTV) and has also been a screen actress. She speaks English fluently and is now learning Japanese.
She beat 35 other candidates in the 2008 competition, held in HCM City for the first time, and was crowned Miss Vietnam Tourism in August.
