The project, worth 58,960 EUROS in total, will receive the remaining capital from the centre at a later date.
Under the project, a number of research programmes and training courses on statistical and analytic skills will be undertaken with the aim of finding solutions for conserving the heritage site.
The Asia-Pacific Director of Urban Solutions, Paul Schuttenbelt, said that with their experiences from similar projects in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Latin America, the organisation hopes to assist the local authorities by working out strategies to control and conserve the world heritage site during the city’s fast urban development, and to improve the abilities of the workforce.
