More than VND20 billion has been allocated for restoring nearly 550 traditional Rong houses (communal houses in the Central Highlands), according to the Kon Tum provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The investment was mobilised mostly from local organisations and individuals, and aims to preserve and uphold traditional cultural values in the Central Highland region.

Kon Tum province is currently home to six ethnic minority groups with diverse cultural identities including the Xe Dang, Ba Na, Gia Rai, Gie Trieng, B’Rau and Ro Mam.
