The event has attracted 99 chess players from 19 teams nationwide, including strong ones from Binh Duong, Bac Giang, Danang, Dak Lak, Hanoi, Haiphong and the Army.

They will compete in Swiss format. The permitted time of each match is 90 minutes plus 30 seconds for the first move.

The tournament, organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation, to improve the professional skills of players and seek the best for the national team, will last through to September 30.
