National table tennis tourney opens in Central Highlands
(VOV) -The National Table Tennis Championships – Vietnam Oil and Gas-Ca Mau Fertilizer Cup 2013 – officially kicked off in Da Lat city, the Central Highland province of Lam Dong, on April 23.
The week-long event has attracted eleven male and female players from across the country to compete in team, doubles, and singles events.
After the opening ceremony participants saw the first match between the host female team and the military team which ended with a score of 1-3 in favour of the guest team.
In the men’s event, the HCM City team and the PetroVietnam won an overwhelming victory of 3-0 over the Hoang Thach Hai Duong Cement and Hanoi 2 teams.
