• Basketball tournament for pupils opens in HCM City

• Second Asian U16 Basketball Tournament kicks off in Khanh Hoa

The tournament, which attracted 120 teams from across the country, aimed to help local young basketball players improve their skills and select the best athletes for the national team.

The winners of the event will receive a prize of VND15 million in cash, while the first and second runners-up will receive VND12 million and VND10 million, respectively.

The top team will have the chance to attend a one-month training course in Japan. They will also represent Vietnam at the Southeast Asian junior basketball tournament, scheduled to take place in Laos later this year, according to Nguyen Quoc Quan, Secretary General of the Vietnam Basketball Federation (VBF).
