The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) has made nine suggestions concerning bilateral cooperation between Vietnamese universities with research institutes and universities from the state of Hessen in Germany.
During talks with the delegation from Hessen's Ministry for Science and Technology in Hanoi on October 30, the MoET recommended the Hanoi University of Commerce as a partner in the education cooperation programme with Hessen State. The university is a leading institution in business administration training in Vietnam, having good facilities and experience in designing cooperation programmes in commerce training fields with European partners.
The MoET is considering a proposal to open a German university in Vietnam, the third German university in a foreign country, after Egypt and China. The two sides agreed to encourage Vietnamese students to join secondary education programmes in Hessen.
During their three-day stay in Vietnam, the German delegation presented scholarships, each worth US$200, to 110 top Vietnamese students.
The delegation also had working sessions with several Vietnamese colleges in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
