The pageant, held by the Vietnam Physical Training Union and Vietnam Sports newspaper, is not only for professional athletes but also for young people who are interested in sports. In the final round, contestants will have to answer questions related to knowledge about sports, culture and society.

According to the organising board, Miss Vietnam Sports aims to promote sports training movements among young people as well as encouraging all people to protect their health.
