As scheduled, the beauties will stay at the Palm Garden Resort in Hoi An ancient town and be driven through the town by cyclos. Later, they will stay at the Daewoo Hotel in Hanoi on June 26 and the Tuan Chau tourist resort in Quang Ninh province on June 27-29. They will then travel back to the Crown Convention Centre in Diamond Bay Resort in Nha Trang on July 14.

The 80 beauties had earlier taken part in the “Charming Ao Dai” programme launched by the Thanh Nien Film Studios and the Thanh Nien (Youth) Newspaper to raise funds for poor students who achieved top marks in their studies.

The beauties were then divided into four groups and took to the catwalk to model works by Vietnamese designers such as Sy Hoang, Thuan Viet, Lien Huong and Vo Viet Chung. The organising board chose the top five beauties in the ao dai costume event including Miss Venezuela, India, Vietnam, Thailand and Kazakhstan. Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza was awarded the Miss Charming Ao Dai title.
