Miss Sports Vietnam and her two runners-up will join the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 24th SEA Games in Thailand to promote the image of Vietnam and its people.

Hoang Du, editor-in-chief of the Sports Vietnam newspaper, made the announcement during a press briefing of the final round of the Miss Sports Vietnam 2007 Contest in Hanoi on October 13.

According to Mr Du, the final round will be held from October 12-26 at the My Dinh National Sports Complex in Hanoi. Fifty sports beauties who have qualified from the regional contests will get to Hanoi for the finals.

Twenty contestants will be selected for the final night on October 26 to show off their sports beauty through self-selected costumes, sports talents, swimsuits and ao dai (long dress) shows. Contestants who gain the highest scores will advance to the personality appraisal round.

A number of social activities will be held alongside the finals, including a photo shoot of the beauties wearing ao dai at the The Huc bridge to promote Vietnamese tourism, visiting some of national athletes who are preparing for the 24th SEA Games, and attending a motor parade from My Dinh National Sports Complex to Hoan Kiem Lake in response to the Government’s resolution on wearing helmets when driving.
