Minh suffers another defeat at Indian badminton league
(VOV) -Pune Pistons club’s Nguyen Tien Minh lost 0-2 to Ajay Jayaram from Hyderabad Hotshots at the men’s singles event in the semi-finals of the first Indian Badminton League (IBL) on August 28.
In the first set he took and early lead of 13-9 but was soon equalized by his rival and finally lost 17-21.
In the second set, Minh made repeated mistakes and was thrashed 11-21.
This is the second time he has lost to the Indian opponent after his first defeat in the qualifying round on August 19.
His teammates Juliane Schenk also lost 1-2 to Saina Nehwal in the women’s singles and Joachim/Thomas were also defeated 1-2 to Lim/Goh in the men’s double events.
After defeating Pune Piston, Hyderabad Hotshots will face the winner of the match between Awade Warriors and Mumbai Masters in the final.
