Marksman wins ASIAD 17 bronze for Vietnam

(VOV) -Vietnamese shooter Ha Minh Thanh clinched a bronze medal in the men’s 25m standard pistol of the on-going Asian Games (ASIAD 17) in the Republic of Korea on September 25.

Scoring a total of 571 points, Thanh was placed behind Ding Feng of China (577 points) and Kim Junhong of the host country.

The latest bronze brought to the total number of medals Vietnamese athletes have bagged at ASIAD 17 up to now.

Earlier on September 24, Phan Thi Ha Thanh made history in Vietnam’s gymnastics at the Asian games, claiming a bronze medal in the women’s single vault. Ha expects to change the colour of the medal in balance beam and freestyle competitions, scheduled for September 25.
