Malaysian Week 2007 is being held by the Malaysian Embassy in Vietnam to mark Malaysia’s 50th National Day.

The week included five major events in Hanoi - the Cultural Gastronomy Festival at the Hanoi Horison Hotel from August 23-29, a Malaysia exhibition from August 24-26, a Malaysian film festival from August 27-29, and a Malaysian fashion show on August 29.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the cultural and gastronomy festival, Malaysian Ambassador Lim Kim Eng expressed hope that through those events the Vietnamese people and foreign friends in Hanoi would understand more about Malaysia, its land and people.
