Over the past year, VOVNews bulletins were updated at least two or three times a day, covering various economic, politic, social, cultural and sporting events in a more lively way. Nearly 70 video clips and 20 online exchanges were uploaded to attract readers.

Phuong Thanh Ha from California, the US, and many other friends from Australia, Canada and Germany sent email to VOVNews expressing sincere thanks to its staff for keeping them updated with the latest developments in the homeland and making them able to hear “The Voice of Vietnam” clearly everyday. Cholac Loc (locparis@....) wrote: “I'd like to congratulate VOVNews on its major changes. Now I can log in to VOV programmes and read VOVNews.” |
Speaking at a meeting held on January 4 to review VOVNews activities in 2006, VOVNews Editor-in-Chief Dinh The Loc said despite its constant efforts to improve the content and format of the website, VOVNews was still slower than other newspapers in terms of news coverage.
News stories and articles were more diversified but not many products, including video clips, were highly professional and interesting to readers. This year, VOVNews will try its best to serve readers well.
VOV General Director Professor Dr. Vu Van Hien, highlighted VOVNews’ efforts in 2006 and expressed his hope that VOVNews will continue to update the quality of news stories and encourage its staff to constantly study and learn from other online newspapers.
