A logo design contest to mark the 35th anniversary of Vietnam-Australia relations was launched in Hanoi on October 10 by Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Bill Tweddell.

The logo should feature specific symbols of Vietnam and Australia and reflect the development of the two countries' ties over the past 35 years.

All entries must be submitted to the Australian Embassy in Hanoi or the Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City by no later than November 30, 2007. The first prize winner will walk away with VND10 million.

The Australian Embassy also plans to host a series of programmes to mark the anniversary, including an Australian month between January and February 2008, which will feature a photo exhibition and a musical performance.
