Liu Xiao Ling Tong arrives in Vietnam
(VOV) - Chinese movie star Liu Xiao Ling Tong began a four-day visit to Vietnam on April in an effort to promote friendship and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Prior to this trip, Liu told a Beijing-based VOV correspondent he wants to play the role of Vietnam’s first ever tourism ambassador to China.
“Vietnam has great potential for tourism development, but not so many Chinese people know about it,” he said.
“I do hope in the future more Chinese residents will travel to Vietnam, as a way of deepening mutual understanding between the two peoples.”

During his visit to Vietnam, Liu will talk about plans to star in an upcoming film “Journey to the West” and his efforts to attract Vietnamese actors and actresses to take part in his film.
This is the third time the actor has visited Vietnam. He wants to make a visit to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - a chance he said he had missed during his previous two trips.
