An exhibition of Korean handicrafts, organised by the Korean Fund of Culture and Heritage, will be held at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology from September 5-15.
The event entitled “The Hopes and Wishes” features nearly 100 handicraft products including dresses, shirts, hats, towels, stockings and decorative items.
The pieces are typically used on important occasions such as birthdays and weddings to express wishes of health, wealth, happiness and luck.
Visitors will have a unique opportunity to watch Korean craftsmen demonstrate their sewing and braiding techniques on the opening day of the event.
”The Korean Fund plans to open this exhibit in other international locations to promote cooperation and culture exchange between the two countries,” says the fund’s president, Kim Hong-real.
