A four-day festival to hail the traditional Khmer New Year, Chol Chnam Thmay, will be hosted by Tri Don district in the Mekong Delta province of An Giang from April 10.

The Deputy Chairman of the district people’s committee, Tran Quoc Thanh, said the event will include carriage parades and an ox race.

The district’s culture and sports centre will accommodate photo and art exhibitions featuring the life and communal activities of the Khmer in An Giang and a fair on the specialties of the Khmer in the Bay Nui (Seven Mountains) area.
