At the working session, relevant agencies reported their preparations to ensure that the event will be organized as scheduled. They examined their plans to ensure security, upgrade infrastructure and provide hotels and logistical services for the event.

The organizing board of Miss Universe 2008 will officially sign a contract with Vietnam on November 27 and hold a press conference in Nha Trang city on November 28.

Miss Universe is the second-biggest international beauty pageant after Miss World. It has attracted the participation of more than 100 contestants from many countries around the world.
