The south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa welcomed 1.3 million visitors in 2007, shining an increase of 25.4 percent over last year and exceeding its yearly target by 13.4 percent.
It was the venue for major domestic and international events in 2007 such as the Nha Trang Sea Festival, the final round of Miss World Vietnamese, Miss Earth and the final round of the Sao Mai singing contest.
Moreover, many businesses in Khanh Hoa are now planning to improve the quality of tourist services with the aim of attracting more visitors to the province.
With an estimated turnover of VND1,000 billion this year, the provincial tourism sector has hit a record high and is expected to generate more jobs in the years to come.
