Works by Japanese illustrator Iwasaki Chihiro are being exhibited at the Japanese Cultural Exchange Centre on 27 Quang Trung street, Hanoi from April 28 to May 22.

Iwasaki Chihiro is a well-known Japanese painter who, in her life time, won many domestic and international prizes for her drawings of children. In 1997, the Chihiro Art Museum was built in Tokyo to honour her contributions and artistic achievements.

In 2005, the Museum, in cooperation with the Vietnam Women’s Union held an exhibition of 80 paintings chosen from her 9,350 works of art.

This year’s exhibition of her works is expected to treat the public to an art space dedicated to children with a message of peace and happiness for children all over the world.
