As many as 42 contemporary art works by 11 Japanese artists are on display at an exhibition opening in Ho Chi Minh City on June 12.

The works, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs and video clips, focused on the daily life, highlighting the authors’ own sentiment and philosophy.

The exhibition, entitled “Future journey: Japan’s new generation fine arts”, is jointly organised by the Japanese Consulate-General in HCM City and the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.

The event is scheduled to last till June 21.
