A group of famous Japanese artists are performing their unique blend of traditional music and dance in Hanoi on March 2-3, as part of a range of activities marking the 2009 Japan-Mekong Exchange Year.

They will give a performance again in Ho Chi Minh City on March 15, at a concert that includes the renowned Japanese artists, Nakai Tomoya and Nagasu Tomoka.

Many of Japan’s traditional musical instruments such as the Biwa, Koto and Shakuhachi flute will be spotlighted at the concert.

In the framework of the 2009 Japan-Mekong Exchange Year, the Japanese group will also perform in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand.
