The event is organised by the Japanese Cultural Exchange Centre to mark the 1,000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Flower arrangements by Professor Sasaki Yasihito, Japan’s top Ikebana artists, will be on display.

Ikebana artists say that using a plant’s stems, leaves, and flowers to make special designs shows nature’s beauty and vitality as well as human emotions.

Japanese Ikebana appeared 550 years ago and has virtually become a “religion” over the centuries.
